Experiment Nation chats with the folks behind CRO Memes

By Tracy Laranjo

Hello, mysterious representative from CRO Memes. First off, big fan. You get at least four chuckles from me per week.

It tickles our collective minds knowing we are tickling you. If you are lucky, maybe one day you may be made to laugh. We can dream.

How are you from your corner of the world?

This is difficult to answer as we cover several corners of the world. Sure, the world is not flat. Weather-wise, the average temperature averaged across our corners is 25 degrees Celsius or 77 degrees Fahrenheit for those who want to measure temperatures in weird units. Some of us are busy and some are not. So, on average, we are feeling average.

Your LinkedIn page states that “Every Experimenter and CRO needs a little laugh  from time to time.” How important is it to find humour in our jobs?

We all love what we do, but we encounter frustrating situations. It is good to let off steam and laugh to relax. We need to add, it's even better to blow off some steam anonymously. Otherwise, people would be pretty angry with what we're saying.

What’s your personal favourite CRO meme?

We don't have any personal favorites. They are all valuable to us. But if each of us has to choose one, we'll use these for now. But ask us next month, We are sure we'll come up with something else:

Be honest… have you ever tested a CTA button colour? If so, what was the result?

Yes, surely. We have all done stupid things in our lives. And like all the stupid things we do, we keep these stories a secret in a place that is deep and dark. Forever. Of course, you may need to test your graphics. So, some button tests are likely to make sense. But as they say, even a broken watch is correct twice a day.

Finally, it’s time for the Lightning Round!

Bayesian or Frequentist?

Both have their place. Both are good. As well as both are bad.

Which one would you eat?

We would eat the cookie disaster. If anything, it is at least a valid result and learning. It is also the only choice which allows you to eat the items separately without vomiting.

Describe CRO Memes in 5 words or less.

We make memes. You laugh.

Who would you like Experiment Nation to interview next?

Heather Miller

Cool, we'll see what we can do! Thank you for your time, CRO Memes!

Thank you for having us.
