2021 sneak preview - Experiment Nation

2021 sneak preview

We’ll be trying out a lot of new things

Hi everyone,

It’s Rommil. 2020 has definitely been a year of learning and growth for me where I tried out a few things including: changing platforms (goodbye Medium), starting a podcast, creating courses, launching a Directory, and writing a (very short) book. Not everything turned out to be a hit, but they all taught me something. While I felt Experiment Nation did a good job in 2020 in terms of sharing lessons with the community, I feel it fell a bit short in terms of connecting us.

So for 2021, I’ve decided to work with Experimenters from around the world to help give Experiment Nation a more intimate and connected feel. Here are the projects that are in the works:

  • Experiment Nation: The Podcast with Rommil and Shannon
I decided to have start interviewing Experimenters with a co-host! If you’ve checked out Experiment Nation: The Podcast in the last few weeks, you may have noticed a new voice, Shannon. From my time working with her at Ritual, I’ve always enjoyed her energy and quick wit. I think she’ll bring a wonderful dimension to the interviews with Experimenters.
  • CR-No
This is a new podcast series where a panel of Experimenters get together regularly, and pick a topic related to the CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) industry and talk shop. You get to be a fly on the wall and hear CROs be themselves as they talk about what they love about the industry and a lot about what they feel needs improving. We already have a couple of episodes in the can and I can’t wait for you to check out it. While the panel will change over time depending on schedules, the main panel consists of: Eddie, Kenya, Shiva, and Siobhan.
  • The Weekly Buzz
If you follow our LinkedIn feed, (if not, you should), you may have noticed we’ve been playing around with video. Bithika has taken the reigns of a weekly experimentation round-up that will be shared on LInkedIn, our Newsletter, and YouTube. If you want to stay up to date with our ever-changing field, this is a great way to do it.
  • Adventures in Experimentation
If you’ve always had a burning question about CRO or Experimentation, but didn’t know who to ask – this is the podcast series for you. Industry veterans, Positive John, Eden, and Emeline field questions they hear often and questions they receive from our community.
  • Point / Counterpoint
Veteran CROs, Patrick and Marion, debate all the hot topics of the Experimentation field. For every podcast episode, each is assigned a side of a topic, and the debate begins! No topic is off limits. Listen in as Trisha moderates the debate.
  • Product Experimentation
Experimentation has become a critical tool in a Product Manager’s toolkit. Jaya and Siddharth deep-dive into how they do it in this new podcast series.
  • Experimentation: The Argentinian Way
Marina explores how the people of Argentina leverage Experimentation in their everyday lives.

As we slowly start to introduce these new series over the next few months, we hope you enjoy the conversations and as always, we’d love to get your feedback.

Happy new year, and keep on Experimenting,
Rommil
